The word in modern Hebrew is Tekufot: The 4 turns of the year.

From Qumran Cave 4, a fragment of Aramaic I Henock (attributed to "Henock the Seventh from Adam" (Jude 1:14-15) is translated "Blessed are all the righteous, blessed are all those who walk in the way of righteousness and sin not as the sinners, (abiding) in the reckoning of all their days in which the sun traverses the heaven, entering into and departing from the portals for thirty days with the heads of thousands of the order of the stars, together with the four (days) which are intercalated, which divide the four portions of the year, which lead them and enter with them four days. Owing to them, men shall be at fault and not reckon them in the whole reckoning of the year: yea, men shall be at fault, and not recognize them accurately.

Cavalry Chapel Rock Hill continues to observe God's division of the year with the 2nd Tekufah this year.

Exodus 34:22  And the Festival of Weeks, you shall observe, with the firstfruits of the wheat harvest, and the Festival of Ingathering at the turn of the year.

Calvary Chapel Rock Hill has started a Discord server for our body to communicate with one another outside the time we physically meet at church. Discuss the bible, share recipes, ask questions. It is a fantastic communication tool that can benefit everyone and bring us closer together as a body.

The world is a busy place and we understand not everyone is able to physically meet on Fridays. So we have a technological alternative.

Our Church?

  • How did the Calvary Chapel church get started?

    Calvary Chapel started in Costa Mesa, CA in 1965 under Pastor Chuck Smith. This ministry started with a humble congregation of only 25 people. From the youngest to the oldest, everyone was welcomed without judgment. The church served in the midst of a strong movement of the Holy Spirit that spread from the West Coast to the East Coast and around the world. Pastor Chuck Smith stressed the teaching of God's Word throughout his ministry, and this expositional approach to Bible teaching has helped millions of people all across the globe better understand God's Word. What started as a small local church has since expanded into a multinational family of over 1,700 churches around the world!
